Umno's coup in Perak

Looks like the Umno's attempt to overthrow the Perak Pakatan Rakyat state government may come to a success following the continuous pressure by Umno top leaders on the Sultan of Perak, particularly the Umno deputy president who is also deputy prime minister Najib Razak.

Najib was seen entering the Kinta Palace twice today to pressure the royalty to accept the rival Umno state government which has already been established this morning. If the Sultan were to accept the rival Umno state government over the existing Pakatan Rakyat's state government, what will it become then?

Well, as we know Umno still controls the federal government of which has the power over the federal security forces. Therefore, should Umno failed to obtain the so-called power transfer from incumbent Pakatan Rakyat state government, Umno may resort to the use of security force to enforce their rivalry over a democratically elected government.

The three PKR state assemblymen and a DAP representative were widely believed to have been bribed over to reduce the majority of the Pakatan Rakyat in the state legislature gained from last year's general election.

The two of the 3 PKR state assemblymen who defected, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang) and Mohd Osman Jailu (Changkat Jering) are believed to have accepted an offer from Umno to have their corruption charges dropped by the public prosecutor when the court hearing on the duo's charges commence. This is the most disgusting political episode that Umno and BN had ever organised.

The people of Perak gave victory to Pakatan Rakyat on 8 March 08. Now Najib has, with an undemocratic means and corrupt manner taken away from Perak a government led mainly by people who serve the people so well.

Democracy in Perak is now dead.
