Perak crisis: Umno seeks QC's opinion from London

It was reported that a senior constitutional lawyer left Kuala Lumpur yesterday for London to engage the services of a Queen's Counsel on behalf of Umno to advise the party on the Perak constitutional crisis.

Looks like Umno is not confident of winning the legal suit file by the Perak Pakatan Rakyat recently to challenge the legitimacy of the Perak Umno rebel state government. Umno did not have much qualified lawyers to advice them on the Pakatan Rakyat's legal suit or is it because no lawyers in Malaysia who are willing to team up on behalf of Umno because they too do not recognise the Perak Umno rebel state government which was installed via a coup d'etat with an illegal state assembly sitting held at the Perak Umno headquarters.

Yes, this is a fact. Umno seized power by holding its own state assembly sitting at the Perak Umno headquarters to claim power. The state assembly sitting held at the Perak Umno headquarters was not even chaired by the state assembly speaker because the speaker was from DAP and they certainly would not allow a DAP member into an Umno building. As such, the state assembly sitting was chaired by the Umno deputy president Najib Razak instead, in his capacity as both coup leader and state Umno chief.
