Ceramah ban in Perak, clearly a pro-Umno act

The move by the police to enforce the ban ceramahs to be organised by Pakatan Rakyat component parties is seen as a pro-Umno measure in order to prevent them from campaigning and getting their roadshows up effectively in conjuction of the by-election in the Bukit Gantang parliamentary constituency.

The move of ban is simply very clear, the home affairs minister is an Umno top leader and the police force answers directly to the home ministry and there is where the minister has his direct powers on.

Therefore, the move to ban ceramahs in the state is clearly political motivated aimed to tarnish the image of Pakatan Rakyat and preventing them from effectively explaining to the people the truth and facts behind Umno coup d'etat that toppled the people's elected Pakatan Rakyat state government.
