EC's election date a political sabotage

We would like to express our grave disappointment over the by-election date on 26 August which was announce by the Election Commission recently.It is unfair and disgusting to see that the Election Commission had decided to call 26 August which falls on Tuesday as the by-election date knowing very clear that it is a weekday where everyone is working.

The Election Commission had failed to see the importance of the voters or may it be a political sabotage sanctioned by both the BN and the commission itself in order to reduce the voter turn out on that day.In this case, we view such move as unfair and attempt to disrupt the actual election process. Therfore, we call on the Election Commission to revise the by-election date to weekend as soon as possible, failing which, we shall consider such decision as an attempt to sabotage the electoral process.
